Some time ago, we announced that High Field was sponsoring the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and offering a special limited series of their RIB boats in the colours of the event.
Today, it's the Zodiac brand's turn to be talked about on our blog.
As a historic partner of the Vendée Globe, Zodiac is offering to reserve one of its 42 specially decorated boats for the 2024-2025 edition of this legendary race.
But before we discover these bargains available for sale, let's take a brief look back at the history of this partnership...
2008: The start of a historic collaboration
In 2008, Zodiac took its first steps in the Vendée Globe by supplying 60 Pro Open 650. This model, featuring a new console and bolster, represented the second generation of the Pro Open range at the time. Reliability and performance were the order of the day for this first collaboration, enabling skippers to sail in complete safety.
2012: Adapting to changes in racing
Four years later, in 2012, the IMOCAs (boats entered in the Vendée Globe) are constantly evolving. Zodiac is adapting and offering, in addition to the Pro Open 650 still around (but with a new float decoration), larger, higher-performance models: Pro 750, Pro 850 and N-ZO 700. This diversity allows sailors to choose the boat best suited to the weather conditions encountered during the race.
2024: A strong commitment for the upcoming edition
For the 2024 edition of the Vendée Globe, Zodiac is providing 42 RIBs of various models: OPEN 6.5, Pro 7 and Pro 850. These boats, all from Zodiac's professional range, are renowned for their robustness, manoeuvrability and safety, and will be on display in the port of Les Sables d'Olonne for 1 month prior to the start of the Vendée Globe from mid-October to mid-November 2024.
